About Ricker's Kinderkamp

Ricker's Kinderkamp has been operating since 1938.

We provide a safe, fun, and healthy environment for your child to spend his/her summer vacation.

Groups

We have about 95 campers each week.
We divide the campers into six groups:

Beginner I and II - two groups of 4 to 6 year olds boys and girls 
Swimmer Boys/Swimmer Girls - a boys group and a separate girls group of 7 to 9 year olds
Green Rafter Boys/Girls - a boys group and a separate girls group of 10 to 13 year olds

Staff

For the 2024 season, we have employed 20 counselors and 2 junior counselors.  All counselors are CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified. 

Many of our counselors grew up attending Ricker's every summer as children.  They loved us so much, they never left!

This camp complies with the regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Heath and is licensed and inspected annually by the Leominster Board of Health, Leominster Fire Department, and Leominster Building Department.  

​Parents are welcome to review any of the policies and procedures documented in the Ricker’s Kinderkamp Handbook kept in the house with information on counselor/camper ratio, treatment of mildly ill campers, emergency procedures, discipline procedures and evacuation plans.  Parents can request to see copies of employee background checks. ​
